About seven to eight lakh patients injured in burning hospitals every year in hospitals are admitted in hospitals, but due to the absence of facilities for burn care, all patients are not properly treated. Prior to this, senior consultant of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and former President of ISB Dr. Rajiv B. Ahuja said that in ISBI we accept different models of burn care in different countries. Nevertheless, there is a need to work on the economical treatment system in all developing countries of the world. According to the estimation of the ISI, seven to eight lakh patients enter the hospitals every year in India. But Dr. Ahuja said that the hospitals in the country do not have the necessary infrastructure for the treatment of these patients.

Ahuja said that it is necessary to have partnership between private and public sectors to make proper arrangements for patients injured due to burn injuries. He said there is a need to create a skin bank which is not in the big hospitals of the country. Dr. Ahuja said that this conference will help in learning from the experiences of other countries of the world. The organizer said that on November 30, the 19th Congress of the ISBI will be inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. The five-day conference will last until December 4.

During the conference, an analysis on 'Burn Bardan of the World' will also be presented, highlighting the problems being faced by burning in developing countries. A direction has been issued on the care of patients regarding ISBi incidents and prevention of the patients, the first section was published in August 2016. Now the published issue of its second section will be released by the current President Dr. William G. Sioffei during the 19th International Congress.
